I need to rewrite an about page; it seems like so many things have changed throughout the past year – and now there are some stray feelings of disillusionment; many questions are still fluttering somewhere around the air, waiting to be answered. A change of direction, a change of purpose, the nascent feeling of discovery? For now I’m just a fifteen year-old living in a small town, trying to grasp reality and carve my niche somewhere high up, but somewhere I can see it.

I also have had a seemingly impossible dream for as long as I remember. And despite problems, it is falling into place as I speak. Never give up and keep trusting God ’cause he knows best
I know that trusting God is the most important thing, but sometimes I just can’t help that little voice in the back of my head telling me “You can’t do it; why would they want you?”. No matter the odds, though, I won’t stop trying, and I’m extremely motivated by stories like yours, realizing dreams even though it seemed impossible. Thanks. =)
I should have had your ambition when I was young.I’m purposly not going to tell you my age.You will have to come find out for yourself….
Haha. =) Do you know what my ambition is?
Wait, how can you land between the stars if you shot for the moon ?
The moon is several light years further than the closest star you know (not talking about the sun here).
Dude, it’s just a quote. Nothing more, lighten up. I don’t know about the distances between stars and etc, it’s a quote by a famous person. It basically means that if you aim for something really high, even if you don’t accomplish it, you’ll land in something great.
hey, you write really well.
good job
Thanks! =)
Hey Justin, thank you for the comment down at my space. You’ve got a long way to go, so I can only wish you a great journey through the years, and may you experience startling things.
And I hope one day you start enjoying chili!
Thanks! I really hope that I do experience said startling things.
And about the chili, still reluctant.
Thanks for stopping by!
I second Manda’s comment. Great writing!
I’ve just read your profile – after posting my long-winded reply to your items on teachers.
And I see you are only (sorry sounds so condescending) 14! I thought I was corresponding with someone of (how shall we put it? … ) more advanced years)
Good for you. I love your blog.
As for the music favourites I am afraid I’m a bit behind you there. I can recommend one or two things though. Reggae especially early Bob Marley (‘Catch a Fire’ ‘Natty Dread’) and Aswad, a black, British Reggae group (http://www.aswadband.com/)
Also try Charlie Parker, especially the early Be-Bop period with Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis.
Sex Pistols: ‘Never Mind the …’
Books: I think you might like Damon Runyan: Fast-paced short stories written about the gangsters and big shots of New York city in a kind of invented slang (eg. ‘Guys and Dolls’ ‘Little Miss Marker’)
Good Luck!
Andy
